i can not remember where in the Bible (King James Version) it says it is a sin to marry a divorced woman. There also says something about being able to divorce a woman if she has been unfaithful ….. What if a man has been unfaithful. ??????? I will continue I will continue looking for that i verse meaning, in their proverbs qoute But I have met and I was wrong …. in Mathew 5:31
Matthew 5:31-32 says: (KJV) – Also was told: Anyone who divorces his wife, give her a writing of divorcement: But I tell you that anyone who divorces his wife except for unchastity, causes her to commit adultery: and whosoever to marry her that is divorced commits adultery. (ESV) – "It was also said," Whoever divorces his wife, give a certificate of divorce. But I tell you that anyone who divorces his wife, except on the ground of sexual immorality, makes her commit adultery, and whoever marries a divorced woman commits adultery. Do not be stuck in the husband / wife example, works both ways. For example, Proverbs 10:1 "A wise son glad father, but a foolish son grief to his mother is. It's just a way common to speak to the culture of the time. Hope this helps.
