Jesus $18.98 There is good evidence in the Bible, Torah and Koran indicating that Jesus and his followers were not poor shepherds, carpenters and fishermen, but the Hyksos Shepherd pharaohs. The Biblical Exodus then makes historical sense, as the Hyksos Exodus from Egypt — an actual historical event when half a million people evacuated Egypt after a civil war with the Thebans — can be understood as the Exodus of the Old Testament. Further, Jesus can then be understood as a descendant of these pharoahs. Having found the Biblical Saul in the historical record, the author found new historical references to the Biblical Jesus, and has determined that he was descended from this Hyksos line, and was a Hyksos prince in exile — the rebel governor of Tiberias, who led an army Jerusalem. He died in AD 65 after the revolt failed – 30 years after the presumed crucifixion. Other revelations: ? The Biblical Abraham was a pharaoh of Egypt ? Jesus married his own sister, Mary Magdalene ? Jesus followed the traditional Egyptian astrology: he was born a shepherd (Aries) and died a fisher of men (Pisces) |

From Cult to Christ $16.99 “If cults are so off base, why do they have so many members? Why are they attractive and what causes otherwise intelligent people to be interested in them? Are people who join cults stupid or disillusioned? And how can we avoid being tricked ourselves or keep our family and friends from being tricked? From Cult to Christ answers these questions and more. It tracks one man’s journey from “discovering God” as a young child, to disillusionment with the organized church, to a cult. It tracks through the process of discovering truth through devastating loss, to exiting the cult and entering into the light of Christ’s love through the touch of a loving friend. It’s a real life journey with many twists and turns, triumphs and failures, and loss and restoration. And, finally, it guides the reader into understanding a little more about the new birth and how to know Jesus. Craig has been a Christ-follower for several years and has served in many church leadership positions. These include being a founding elder for a new church, and being a ministry director and lay pastor for Men’s Ministry and Mid-High Ministry. He co-founded a non-profit ministry in the Salem area to serve the local churches. He also has experience in cults. His degree is in communications from the University of Oregon with graduate work in organizational communications at Portland State University. He is a writer, speaker, workshop leader, small group facilitator and works for state government in program management and health care policy and program design. He is also the Mid-High Ministry Director for New Harvest church in Salem, Oregon. He and his family, wife Janey and two boys, Benjamin and Caleb, live in Keizer, Oregon.” |

American Jesus $19.48 The Story of the Transformation of Jesus from Divinity to CelebrityThe United States (it is often pointed out) is one of the most religious countries on earth, and most Americans belong to one Christian church or another. But as Stephen Prothero argues in American Jesus, many of the most interesting appraisals of Jesus have emerged outside the churches: in music, film, and popular culture; and among Jews, Muslims, Buddhists, and people of no religion at all.Popular revisions of Jesus are nothing new: Thomas Jefferson famously took scissors to the New Testament to produce a Jesus he could call his own. In Prothero’s incisive chronicle, the emergence of a cult of Jesus–as folk hero and commercial icon–is America’s most distinctive contribution to Western religion. Prothero describes how Jesus was enlisted by abolitionists and Klansmen, by Teddy Roosevelt and Marcus Garvey. He explains how, in our own time, the proliferation of Jesus’ image on Broadway stages and bumper stickers, on the cover of Time and on the Internet, in a Holy Land theme park and on a hot-air balloon, expresses the strange mix of the secular and the sacred in contemporary America. American Jesus is a lively and often witty work of history. As an account of the ways Americans have cast the carpenter from Nazareth in their own image, it is also an examination, through the looking glass, of the American character. |

The Evidence for Jesus $19.95 “Was Jesus a magical cult leader? Was he a revolutionary that failed? Or did the apostle Paul invent him out of a mystical experience? And even if he was a historical figure, how much can we really know about someone who lived two thousand years ago in an obscure corner of the Roman Empire? R. T. France explores these issues by examining in detail the whole range of historical data-from archaeological evidence to other non-Christian sources to Christian writings both inside and outside of the New Testament. With candor and rigor he analyzes modern New Testament scholarship that challenges the biblical record, and sets out a clear and solid case for what the New Testament says about Jesus. This book is valuable resource for those who question or seek to defend the reliability of the Gospels. “It is difficult to praise this work too highly . . . It achieves its purpose of presenting the evidence for Jesus with complete success.” Christian Arena R. T. FRANCE has taught at London Bible College and was principal of Wycliffe Hall, Oxford, from 1989-1995. His many books include The Living God, Jesus the Radical and Jesus and the Old Testament. He is also the author of Matthew in the Tyndale New Testament Commentary series.” |
